National Night Out in Urbandale!

On August 3, 2010, the Central Iowa Tobacco-free Partnership (CITP) participated in the 2nd Annual National Night Out at the Urbandale Police Department. This nationwide event, designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness and strengthen community and police partnerships, has been happening nationwide for 27 years. CITP was one of over 25 local organizations and agencies present at this great event.
CITP was able to reach over 70 families throughout the event with our message about the importance of smoke-free homes and vehicles. Families were encouraged to pledge to be smoke-free and we even had one very special guest sign her name - Minnie Mouse! it looks like even cartoon characters know the importance of smoke-free living!
