Registration is required.  A separate form must be used for each person and session. REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS ONE WEEK PRIOR TO TRAINING DATE. Trainings will take place as scheduled only if a minimum of 10 people per session are registered. A Confirmation, including directions, will be emailed prior to the training. Facilitator Training
The American Lung Association in Iowa offers facilitator training for the Teens Against Tobacco Use (T.A.T.U.) program.  The facilitator training will prepare individuals to conduct the program using the respective curriculum and materials.  Trainings are scheduled on an “as needed” basis, when 10 or more people are interested.
Note: There is a maximum of 20 participants.

Cost
The cost of the one-day facilitator training workshop is: $250.00.
The participant fee covers:

  • Facilitator Training
  • Facilitator Curriculum
  • Sample Teen Workbook and additional resources and program materials
  • Certificate of participation
  • Continental breakfast and lunch

Cancellation Policy
When you cancel registration for this training 7 days or more before the training date, you will receive a full refund. No refunds are granted less than 2 days before the training date.
The American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest (ALAUM) reserves the right to cancel or postpone any training should minimum number of registrants not be met or due to unforeseen circumstances. In the unlikely event that ALAUM must cancel or postpone this training, we will fully refund the registration fee, but are not responsible for any related costs, charges or expenses to participants, including fees assessed by airline, travel or lodging agencies.

To Become a Facilitator, a Person Must:

  • Be someone who has not used any tobacco product in the last year
  • Be experienced in and comfortable with conducting group programs
  • Attend the one-day T.A.T.U. Facilitator Training Workshop conducted by the American Lung Association.
  • Complete and abide by the Facilitators Agreement Form
  • Submit required evaluation components to the American Lung Association
