First Annual Evening of Promise Gala Honors Dr. Busk

On Saturday, November 12, we held our first annual Evening of Promise Gala at the Lucas Estate in Carmel, Indiana.

Over 210 guests attended the affair in support of the American Lung Association’s mission to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. The event featured live music and dancing, a silent auction, and tours of the estate generously donated for the evening by the Lucas family. 

During the program, we recognized Dr. Michael Busk as the 1st annual Legacy Award winner for his unparalleled commitment to the Lung Association’s Fight for Air. Qualifications for this award included a profound empathy for lung disease sufferers, a determined will to educate fellow Hoosiers and fight for healthier communities for us to live in, and the generosity of spirit to rise to the occasion when called upon.  To learn more about Dr. Busk, you can watch a YouTube video tribute here:

We were thrilled when the event raised $74,000 in its inaugural year and are already looking forward to making next year’s event bigger and better.
