Dr. Michael Busk Appointed to Board Chair-Elect, American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest

 Indianapolis, IN - The American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest has appointed Dr. Michael Busk, System Executive, St. Vincent Health, Wellness & Preventive Care Institute, to the position of Chair-Elect of its Board of Directors, effective July 1, 2012. Busk has served the Lung Association for several years, most recently as a member of the Indiana Leadership Board and Chair for the Healthy Lung Expo.

In his position at St. Vincent, Dr. Busk cares for individual patients and corporate clients by assessing their current health risks and providing education, disease prevention, detection treatment and management. He is the primary investigator for the American Lung Association Asthma Clinical Research Center located at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He belongs to the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society and has authored several journal articles and book chapters on topics related to pulmonary disease, exercise and fitness.
