Tuberculosis Education Program in Indiana
General Information & Program Levels

The American Lung Association of Indiana, in conjunction with the Indiana State Department of Health, performs administrative duties surrounding TB certification classes intended for health care professionals to give TB skins tests and follow-up evaluations.

We have Instructors and Trainers located throughout the State of Indiana who teach the following Programs:

Basic Tuberculosis Education Program

  • To learn how to give and read the TB skin test, check the Upcoming Basic Courses list on our website. Find a location near you and contact the instructor directly to sign up for the class and find out if there are any applicable fees. The Basic Card received during this class is valid for 3 years.

Basic Revalidation Education Program

  • 3 years. A revalidation class needs to be taken within 3 years and 30 days. Longer than that, the person would need to retake the Basic Course.

Instructor Tuberculosis Education Program

  • To become a TB Instructor to teach the Basic and Re-Validation TB skin test course, check the Upcoming Instructor Courses list on our website.
