Linnea Myers

This year will be Linnea (Lin) Myers’ sixth year participating in the American Lung Association’s 28th Annual Fight for Air Ride. She rides in memory of her stepdaughter, Monique, who died of lung cancer. She was only 39 years old and left behind two young children. In memory of Monique, each year Lin wears Monique’s name proudly on her helmet and offers to do the same for loved ones of her donors who have passed away from lung disease.

Lin’s passion for the Ride has grown over the years, and she is now a great ambassador for the American Lung Association. You will see her at many Lung Association events, helping to spread the word about the Ride, recruiting a few new cyclists for her team, and providing helpful fundraising tips. We can always count on Lin to help out by volunteering, assisting another rider in answering questions about the route or event weekend, and sharing her touching story of her involvement with the Lung Association.

This year Lin has already raised over $2,000 for her team and is far from done. Throughout her involvement with this event, Lin’s grand total in fundraising has surpassed $11,000 for the American Lung Association.Thank you, Lin, for your commitment to the American Lung Association and the Fight for Air Ride. We are lucky to have you as a key volunteer. We continue to be inspired by your dedication to this cause, lung health.
