Freedom From Smoking®

Freedom From Smoking®

Freedom From Smoking® is a community-based program to help smokers quit.  Led by certified facilitators, Freedom From Smoking® (FFS) Clinics provide a group setting for adults to work through the quit process together.

A scientific behavior-based methodology, the Freedom From Smoking® program is based on the latest addiction and behavior change models, and the program addresses the difficulties of quitting. People who use the program are six times more likely to be smoke-free one year later than those who quit on their own.

Each community-based FFS® clinic consists of eight (8) sessions are delivered in a small group setting over a seven (7) week period to give participants personalized attention and the support of their peers.  This may sound like a lot of time. But research has proven that the more time a smoker spends in a supportive situation, the more likely he or she is to succeed. Lectures, group discussion and skills practice focusing on a variety of evidence-based cessation practices meet the needs of different learning styles.
