(June 8, 2012)

On June 8th, 9th, and 10th, 70 cyclists joined us for our 2012 Fight For Air Ride - Lake Tour Bike Trek. They rode 50 miles a day during a two- or three-day ride from Crystal Lake, Illinois to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

Together, riders raised an amazing $75,000 for the Fight for Air and we couldn’t be more thankful for their support. After a long day of cycling, participants took time to relax and enjoy the amenities at the Abbey Resort and Avani Spa including taking in the sights around beautiful Lake Geneva.

Along the route, at our barbeque on the lawn, and at our final night banquet, our riders shared their reasons for participating including supporting friends and family with lung disease or riding in honor or in memory of a loved one. Nearly 50 volunteers and staff members encouraged cyclists at rest stops and passed out refreshments along the route. Their enthusiasm mirrored the cyclists’ during every moment of the Ride.

Thank you, to all our participants, volunteers, sponsors and donors for making this year’s Fight For Air Ride a success!
