Volunteer Spotlight

The American Lung Association in California is grateful to the support of our dedicated volunteers who commit their time and energy to the organization. We count on volunteers to become involved and engaged in advancing our mission of saving lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.

Our Volunteer Spotlight features those who go above and beyond in helping us fight for healthy air and healthy lungs:

California Thoracic Society
In support of both the California Thoracic Society (CTS) and the American Lung Association, CTS has created some terrific "I Love Lungs" apparel that will help support lung health in California.

Praveen Buddiga, MD
Praveen Buddiga, MD, volunteer physician of the American Lung Association in California, was honored as Ethnic Physician Leader of the Year by the Network for Ethnic Physician Organizations at their 2014 Leadership Summit in Riverside. An asthma and allergy specialist in Fresno, he was honored for his commitment to providing services in underserved communities in Fresno and for his leadership on air quality and climate policies to reduce air pollution and protect public health.
