ON KEY TOBACCO CONTROL POLICIES
AT STATE AND LOCAL LEVEL

The State of Tobacco Control 2010 grades all fifty states and the federal government on four key tobacco control policies - Tobacco Control and Prevention Spending, Smokefree Air, Cigarette Tax, and Cessation Coverage. In coordination with the national report, the State of Tobacco Control 2010 - California Local Grades issues grades for all 480 cities and 58 counties in California on policies for smokefree outdoor environments, smokefree housing, and reducing sales of tobacco products. This is the first year that the American Lung Association in California has issued grades for all municipalities in California.
