2009 State of Tobacco Control Report

The State of Tobacco Control Report is an annual report card that assigns grades to the states and federal government based on their tobacco control laws and regulations. The state grades cover policies for Smokefree Air, Cigarette Tax, Tobacco Control Spending and Smoking Cessation. In addition, tobacco control report cards are developed for cities and counties throughout California and grades are earned for ordinances that cover smokefree outdoor environments, smokefree housing, and tobacco sales reductions.
