(November 21, 2011)

The American Lung Association is celebrating Lung Cancer Awareness and COPD Awareness month by holding their Annual Breathe Easy Breakfast on November 30th. We are proud to announce that we have Stacy Allison joining us as our keynote speaker this year.

Stacy is not only a mother, wife, president of a high end residential restoration company, author and speaker she is also a highly accomplished mountaineer. Stacy is the co-chair of ALA-MP's Climb For Clean Air/Reach The Summit events in Oregon, Washington and Wyoming. At age 22 she reached the top of Alaska's own Denali, as we all know the highest point in North America. Then she went on to climb the 22,495 foot peak known as Nepal's Matterhorn. She became the first American woman to summit PikCommunism at 24,600 feet, the tallest peak in the Russian Pamir Range. And in 1988, after 29 days on the mountain, Stacy became the first American woman to summit Mt. Everest, the world's highest mountain at 29,028 feet. She went on to become the leader of a successful expedition up K2, the world's second highest mountain, considered to be the most difficult peak on Earth to climb.
