The American Lung Association, Plains-Gulf Region serves Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas. We are part of the American Lung Association, the oldest voluntary health agency in the U.S.
Our focus today is on healthy air, tobacco control and all lung disease, including asthma and COPD. Our mission is to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease and we do that through education, research and advocacy.

Volunteer Spotlight
Joe Ochipinti is a man for all seasons and he is totally devoted to our mission. There are no jobs too large or too small for him. He always makes himself available for Association meetings and hosts all of our Leadership Council meetings at his office. He is extremely generous with his time, talents, and treasure. His “can do” attitude is an inspiration to our volunteers and staff.
