Margaret Haggerty
Margie has been a volunteer with the American Lung Association in Connecticut since 1985. She began volunteering as soon as she received her Masters from Yale School of Nursing. She has been incredibly helpful in regards to the mission oriented work at the ALA. She was co-editor of the Better Breathing Bulletin for 14 years, has written 30 articles for that publication, co-edited, "TB Transmissions". Margie has been on several planning committees and has spoken at our Asthma Educators Institute and COPD Symposium as well as at several Better Breathers Club meetings. She jumps right in whenever she is asked and has spent a countless number of hours providing her knowledge, experience, expertise and constructive criticism. Margie is an excellent and very engaging speaker and has been an asset to our Asthma Educator Institutes and COPD Symposiums. Margie is definitely dedicated to the American Lung Association and deserves recognition for the 27 years of work she has done for the ALA.
