Mary Ann Benson

Mary Ann Benson celebrated her 15th year as a volunteer with has been a volunteer with the American Lung Association and the Trek Across Maine in 2012. She has been a rest stop lead volunteer for both the Trek Across Maine during her 15 year career, as well as a lead volunteer for Cycle the Seacoast since its inception in 2010.

Mary Ann actively participates as part of our Management Committee for both cycling events, and also attends multiple recruitment events throughout the year as an ambassador for the ALA. Her engaging attitude and fun loving personality make her a volunteer that people both respect and thoroughly enjoy working with year after year.

Mary Ann will be “retiring” her lead volunteer status at the Trek Across Maine this year. We are so thankful for the years of dedication and hard work that she has faithfully shown to our organization. She has vowed to continue to be involved with the ALA for many years to come as she supports us in different ways.

Mary Ann lives and works in Portland, ME.
