Volunteer

Volunteer in the fight lung disease today and prevent lung disease tomorrow!

You are taking the first step by becoming a volunteer.  You will be joining a movement to Stop Lung Disease!  You are helping us confront it.  Fight it. And stop it.  Whatever it takes. Your time and your skills are needed to help with the American Lung Association of New England’s programs and special events. Volunteers at all levels of our organization find themselves involved, engaged and impassioned by and for our mission. From helping in a local office with paperwork, to organizing community events and public health promotions, your skills and expertise are vital to our work which includes innovative education, research, and advocacy. Join the oldest voluntary health association and volunteer!

Whether you are a recent retiree looking to fill your time in a meaningful way, a professional looking to give back, or a student who is interested in community service, we will work with you to find a volunteer opportunity that will use your special skills and talents to their fullest extent.

Why Volunteer?

People volunteer for many reasons. Some want to:

  • Give back to their community
  • Meet new people
  • Learn new skills for school and career development
  • Provide leadership and participation in developing, evaluating and achieving the Association’s annual goals, including health promotion, public policy and development on a Leadership Board
  • Help plan and implement an event on a Special Event Committee
  • Embrace healthy air as a basic right through the Public Policy Committee
