New Health Equity Curriculum for Public Health Practitioners

(January 2, 2013)

The Health Equity and Prevention Primer (HEPP) has been developed by the Prevention Institute with guidance from state and local health department staff and nationally-recognized health equity experts, to serve as an online learning tool to build the knowledge and capacity of practitioners to incorporate health equity into their work.

(HEPP) serves as a training series for public health practitioners and advocates interested in policy advocacy, community change, and multi-sector engagement to achieve health equity.

The Primer consists of an equity-focused curriculum and collection of resources and is comprised of seven brief, interactive presentations along with selected publications, tools, and other resources focused on health equity.

Prevention Institute is offering 5 Category I Continuing Education Contact Hours (CECH) for completing the Health Equity and Prevention Primer
