Freedom From Smoking - Program

The American Lung Association's Freedom From Smoking® program has helped over a million Americans end their addiction to nicotine and begin new smokefree lives.  The program is designed as an eight-session clinic delivered by a trained facilitator in a small-group setting. The format encourages participants to work on quitting both individually and as part of a group. Freedom From Smoking® features a step-by-step plan for quitting and focuses almost exclusively on how to quit, not why to quit.

Facilitator Trainings

Learn how to help smokers quit by attending a Freedom From Smoking® Facilitator Training now being offered throughout Southern New England.  Facilitators are the foundation of Freedom From Smoking® and are responsible for introducing techniques, coordinating activities, helping participants maintain motivation, and facilitating group interaction.

Facilitator trainings are designed for health care providers, occupational health nurses, wellness coordinators and human resource professionals who are interested in helping their patients, employees or members of their community quit smoking.
