(January 9, 2014)

The American Lung Association of the Northeast is pleased to announce that the Pulmonary Wellness & Rehabilitation Center in Manhattan will host first-of-its-kind live webinars that bring the experience of a Better Breathers Club meeting to those who are homebound or cannot attend the in-person meetings.  The Ultimate Pulmonary Wellness Lecture Series is the brainchild of the Center’s Program Director, Dr. Noah Greenspan DPT, CCS, EMT-B, who is a board-certified Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Clinical Specialist and a member of the American Lung Association in New York’s Leadership Board.

“Better Breathers Clubs are meetings where people with COPD and other lung diseases can come to not only learn more about how to manage their disease but offer and receive support from others who are experiencing similar challenges,” said Dr. Greenspan.  “These webinars will finally allow people who are unable to attend the in-person meetings to log in, watch a session and participate in the lecture from the comfort of their own homes.”

Upcoming Better Breathers Club Meetings that will be offered both on site at the Pulmonary Wellness & Rehabilitation Center and available as live online webinars are as follows:
Wednesday, January 22: Ultimate Pulmonary Wellness:  Your Best 2014 and Beyond

“When you suffer from a chronic disease, it can be extremely isolating; physically, emotionally and in some cases, geographically,” said Dr. Greenspan.  “Now, we will be able to connect with those people that have previously been out of reach, so that they too can receive the support they need to achieve their absolute best quality of life possible.”

The American Lung Association’s Better Breathers Clubs are offered throughout the United States. Educational presentations are offered on a wide range of relevant topics.   There is no charge to join a club. Each club has a facilitator that runs the meeting but guests are often invited to share information on health topics that are of special interest to those suffering from chronic lung disease.   To learn more about the Lung Association’s Better Breathers Clubs offered throughout the Northeast, visit  "Pulmonary Wellness" is a Registered Trademark of Pulmonary Wellness Rehabilitation PTPC.  All Rights Reserved.
