(February 3, 2014)

The American Lung Association’s Fight for Air Climb at 360 State Street, the city’s greenest building, will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014. This year, 360 State Street’s General Manager, Dragana Lacore will be among those climbing the building’s 413 stairs to raise money to fight lung disease and support clean air initiatives.  Lacore is also captain of the 360 State team and she’ll be leading the team up the stairs while wearing high heels.

Dragano Lacore photo“While 360 State Street has been hosting and sponsoring the climb since its inception, this is my first year actually climbing,” says Lacore.  “I made a promise that I’d climb the stairs in high heels if I personally raised $1,000.  Well my donors came through and it’s a go.”

Lacore says that 360 State Street has been hosting the Climb in New Haven since the building was first erected in 2010.    Like the Lung Association, 360 State Street is committed to promoting energy efficiency that leads to cleaner air and less lung disease.  360 State Street is Connecticut’s first residence targeting LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) platinum certification.  Apartments at 360 State have half the carbon footprint and utility bill of a traditional apartment. According to the U.S. Green Building Council, LEED-certified buildings cost less to operate, reducing energy and water bills by as much as 40%.

“We have so many marvelous amenities at 360 State that cater to people with discriminating taste who also happen to care a lot about the environment,”  said Lacore.  “Our team here is second to none and we love the opportunity to show off our beautiful, state-of-the-art residential building.”

360 State Street is managed by the Bozzuto Management Company which was named Property Management Company of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) in both 2000 and 2009.  The company has been providing exceptional residential services since 1988.

“We’re grateful to be able to host our Fight for Air Climb in one of the greenest buildings in Connecticut,” said Jeff Seyler. President & CEO of the American Lung Association of the Northeast.  “360 State Street has been an incredible sponsor and supporter and we look forward to continuing our partnership for years to come.  All funds we raise at our Fight for Air Climb support the Lung Association’s mission to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease; through research, education and advocacy.”

The third annual “Scale 360 State Street” is generously sponsored by 360 State, 104.1 WMRQ, WFSB Channel 3, AMP Radio Network and Elm City Market. The event is also made possible with the support of national Corporate Team partner, Kindred Healthcare.  An after party at O’Tooles Irish Pub & Restaurant, a short walk from the event venue, will immediately follow the event.
