Tristan Wilder Connors

Our son Tristan was diagnosed with asthma at just 5 months old. He is now 3 and he takes a daily inhaled steroid to control his daily symptoms. Colds and sinus infections are a bit more difficult and there's a whole action plan involving two more steriods. We carry an emergency inhaler with us everywhere we go. He is very good with all of this, a pro at using his nebulizor. As a parent it is so hard to watch your child struggle to breathe and you'd gladly trade places with them in a heart beat. All of his accomplishments involving taking his treatments is not a developmental step you hope your kids will attain when they're born. I'm climbing because he can't, but I hope someday he will. -Kimberly Conners, Mother
