Volunteer

The American Lung Association of the Mountain Pacific has volunteers donating their time and talent region wide.  Without our strong volunteer corps, none of our programs would be able to succeed.

Volunteer opportunities are available on this page for the seven states in the Mountain Pacific region: Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Oregon Washington and Wyoming.  Please check back regularly. Visit the Careers page for available internships.

If you would like to volunteer please fill out this online form.  Questions or comments? Contact Anne Wiltgen, Volunteer Manager, at 206-512-3291, awiltgen@lungmtpacific.org.

Frequently Asked Questions

How old do I have to be to volunteer?
The ALA-MP accepts children under the age of 13 as volunteers if they have accompanying adult supervision. Minors over the age of 13 may volunteer with permission of a parent/guardian without accompanying adult supervision. This includes those participating in student community service activities, intern projects, corporate volunteer programs, and individual volunteer efforts. ALA-MP does not accept juveniles participating in alternative sentencing or diversion programs or otherwise required by the judicial system to complete community service.

Do you accept people who smoke as volunteers?
In pursuit of our mission to protect lung health, smoking is not allowed on ALA-MP premises or while on duty at any ALA-MP-sponsored event.
