Deena Adams

Deena Kinkade Adams is a true “lung health champion.”  With lung disease in her immediate family, she is uniquely sensitive to the plight of those who struggle to take every breath, and she is determined to make a difference.

Since 2009, Deena has chaired a fall gala to benefit the American Lung Association. Her organizational skills, creativity and ability to attract sponsors and motivate volunteers are the perfect attributes to assure the success of an event.  In 2011, Deena and her committee hosted “An Evening at the Blind Tiger,” a spectacular party at the Louisville Water Tower, which raised $50,000 for the American Lung Association in Kentucky.

Deena also organizes a team to participate in and raise pledges for the Lung Association’s annual Fight for Air Walk on the Louisville Waterfront.

The American Lung Association is proud to recognize Deena Adams as our Kentucky Volunteer of the Year in appreciation of her significant contributions to the fight against lung disease.
