Cleveland Clean Air Century Campaign

To addCleveland Clean Air Century Campaign Logoress air quality issues in Northeast Ohio, the Cleveland Clean Air Century Campaign was developed in the fall of 2001.  Local campaign members work collaboratively with local, state, and federal Environmental Protection Agency staff to design and implement projects that protect public health in Greater Cleveland.  The campaign works to reduce indoor and outdoor air toxics.  Reduction projects include, but are not limited to:  School bus diesel retrofits; environmental educational activities for students; school bus health study;  Indoor air quality awareness in schools; Transit fuel replacement;  Reduction of secondhand smoke exposure; vehicle idle reduction education program;  and  healthy homes  education.  The Campaign has established collaborative partnerships with environmental groups and other organizations concerned with air quality throughout Northeast Ohio.
