For a special webinar on the impacts of smog and summer heat for patient health.

Hosted by the American Lung Association of the Mid-Atlantic, featuring:

Ø  Dr. Tyra Bryant Stephens, Founder and Director of the Community Asthma Prevention Partnership at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

Ø  Kevin Stewart, Director of Environmental Health, American Lung Association of the Mid-Atlantic

The summer months are here, and with them come excessive heat and smog. These conditions can cause breathing problems and exacerbate existing respiratory illnesses, especially for children and the elderly.

The webinar will review the ways heat and smog impact human health and what you can do to help patients stay healthy in these challenging conditions. New federal standards that would lower the acceptable levels of smog in order to better protect human health are expected in July.
