All American Lung Association positions (Mid-Atlantic) require a criminal background check.  Some positions require proof of auto insurance and Child Abuse History Clearances.  

Part time positions working a minimum of 20 hrs. /week are eligible for paid holidays, sick and vacation, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.  Matching 403(b) after 1 year of service.

Must be a non-smoker.

Program Specialist (DE)

Position is responsible for overseeing two five day daily youth Asthma Camps. Camps are located in Lewes and Wilmington, DE. Camp responsibilities include but are not limited to: staffing and volunteer recruitment and management, marketing, vendor scheduling, registration, planning field trips and developing daily activities. In addition, incumbent is responsible for implementing, marketing, and delivering ALA’s core programs to the DE community (Freedom From Smoking, Teens Against Tobacco Use, Not on Tobacco, and Better Breathers Clubs) and raising funds through grant administration and other sources. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Minimum 1 yr. of experience developing and implementing community awareness, education, and youth programs specifically related to areas of public health. Grant writing, budgeting, volunteer recruitment and management and camp experience required. Willingness to travel throughout local counties within the state of DE. Ability to lift approximately 25 lbs. when preparing for local camps and health fairs. » More
