Dr. Andrea McKee is a partner at Radiation Oncology Associates, PA and currently serves as Chairman of Radiation Oncology at the Lahey Hospital & Medical Center (LHMC) Sophia Gordon Cancer Center in Burlington, MA, and Lahey Medical Center Peabody, in Peabody MA. She received her medical degree from the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed her residency in radiation oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where she served as chief resident. In early 2012, Dr. McKee and a team of allied health professionals at LHMC initiated the Rescue Lung, Rescue Life community benefit CT lung screening program to save lives and open screening access to those at high-risk for lung cancer regardless of financial means.
Dr. McKee has co-authored numerous seminal peer-reviewed publications on the design, implementation and management of clinical CT lung screening programs and was an invited advisor to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) during the development of the current national CT lung cancer screening guidelines. She presently serves as a member of the Massachusetts State Cancer Control Steering Committee and as Advisory Board Member to the Lung Cancer Alliance and the American Lung Association.
