Ms. Schilz is President/Owner of Quilt-agious in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. She is a retired senior executive from Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. Her skills and interests include business and financial management as well as revenue generation and direct marketing.

Schilz began volunteering with the American Lung Association of Wisconsin in 1993 when she was asked to apply her business expertise in direct marketing to support the organization with these efforts. As a member of the Wisconsin Lung Association board, she has served as secretary, vice chair and chair. In addition, she has served as Chair of the American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest. She has also served on the American Lung Association national council and as a member of the Revenue Generation Committee. Schilz championed the Breathing Matters Breakfast program in Wisconsin and was recognized for these efforts with the Volunteer Excellence Award at the National Leadership Conference in 2003.

In addition to her work with the American Lung Association, she has served on the LaFarge Lifelong Learning Institute board of trustees as president.
