Chief Division Officer, East
Jeff Seyler is Chief Division Officer for the American Lung Association leading its Eastern Division, which is comprised of 25 states. As Division Officer Seyler works to enhance the presence and impact of the American Lung Association in the Eastern part of the country and leads the field management structure to support executive directors, field revenue staff and volunteer boards. He previously served as President and CEO of the American Lung Association of the Northeast until the Lung Association united into a single nationwide organization on July 1, 2017. Seyler has been a leader in the organization through multiple internal mergers and infrastructure changes to improve its performance and effectiveness while positioning the Lung Association as a strong force in lung health and healthy air throughout the Northeast.
During Seyler’s 24-year career with the American Lung Association, he has built a dynamic team of innovative nonprofit leaders, diversified funding sources, achieved revenue growth, strengthened the organization's balance sheet, and championed a regional branding strategy to increase awareness and impact. Nationally, Seyler is an active member of the American Lung Association's Executive Leadership Team, strategizing on nationwide organizational direction and operational best practices. He has served on several national committees including Field Operations, Finance, Marketing and Communications, and the CEO Search Committee.
Seyler recently served as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Children's Alliance, an organization working to prevent child abuse.
Prior to Seyler's tenure with the American Lung Association, he served as a senior field manager at the American Heart Association and was a regional director at the National Kidney Foundation.
Seyler has a master's degree in business administration from Western New England University and a bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
