Jane Reardon, past chair of American Lung Association of the Northeast and current at-large member on the National Board and Chair, Education Committee, is a nurse practitioner and pulmonary clinical nurse specialist at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. Her personal interest in lung disease stems from her more than 30 years of experience working with patients suffering from acute and chronic pulmonary diseases. She believes that the Lung Association is in a position to be a leader in research, advocacy and patient education, thus making a significant difference in the lives of present and future generations of people with lung disease.

Ms. Reardon has been involved with the American Lung Association since 1975 and is a past-chair of the American Lung Association of Connecticut and then New England after the merger. In addition to her Lung Association service, she also served on the boards of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Board (AACVPR), Racial and Cultural Diversity Task Force of the AACVPR (chair), National Strategic Planning Committee.

Ms. Reardon's areas of expertise include patient education and program/strategic planning.
