New Online Support for Lung Cancer Patients
(August 17, 2015)
The American Lung Association is committed to helping those with lung cancer and their caregivers cope with the changes this disease brings. That's why we've partnered with Inspire to connect patients and their caregivers with support and resources during their journey.
Inspire has the leading online community for patients and caregivers affected by lung cancer. As part of our new partnership, the Lung Association will now be supporting the Lung Cancer Survivors Support Community on Inspire. With more than 40,000 members, the community is the largest and most active online group for people affected by lung cancer.
In addition to supporting people affected by lung cancer, the Lung Association and Inspire are also partnering to support patients and caregivers affected by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other lung conditions through the Inspire Living with COPD Support Community and the Inspire Living with Lung Disease Support Community.
This is important news if you are a member of the American Lung Association's Lung Connection Community. We are inviting members of the Lung Connection to join the communities on Inspire for an improved user experience. At the end of August, the Lung Association will solely support the three communities on Inspire and the Lung Connection will no longer be available. For more information about the transition, visit our FAQ page.
If you are facing lung disease or are a caregiver for someone who does, we invite you to join one of our new support communities on Inspire. Come and join a discussion, ask questions or share your own insight with others. A whole new community awaits, with people whose experiences you can relate to and learn from, and also support during your lung health journey.
